About Amazon Operations
Amazon Operations plays a critical role in delivering a seamless customer experience, managing all activities from order placement through delivery. The network spans multiple Fulfillment Centers, Delivery Stations, and numerous machines and employees working cohesively to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
Role Overview
We invite motivated, customer-oriented professionals to join our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team as a Facilities Coordinator. This role emphasizes adherence to safety policies, timely execution of preventative maintenance, and maximizing equipment availability through ongoing improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Exemplify best practices in health and safety and encourage compliance among peers.
- Possess expert, hands-on knowledge of all Material Handling Equipment within the facility.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to technicians during shifts; support the line manager and lead in their absence.
- Troubleshoot and strategically prioritize equipment issues to maintain high availability for internal stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster collaborative relationships across organizational levels.
- Understand and apply equipment performance measurements, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
- Oversee the management of contractors operating within the premises.
- Maintain flexibility in work scheduling, including nights, weekends, holidays, and various shift locations.
Basic Qualifications
- At least one year of experience working with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience; alternatively, a minimum of one year in industrial controls and automation.
- Project management experience encompassing resource allocation, schedule oversight, status reporting, and prioritization of multiple concurrent projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with Material Handling Systems (MHS) installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled automation troubleshooting in continuous production settings or experience with electrical and mechanical conveyor systems.
