Executive N - Production (Planning)

About the Role

This role involves managing production planning within the supply chain domain to ensure smooth manufacturing operations at Asian Paints.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate production reports and develop daily and short-term production schedules for key production units.
• Oversee production output and generate daily operational reports for monitoring purposes.
• Maintain compliance with Safety, Quality, and Asian Paints Quality System (APQS) standards during planning and operations.
• Coordinate the availability of raw materials, intermediates, and packaging supplies to ensure uninterrupted production cycles.
• Monitor critical performance indicators and proactively report key issues identified by Central Planning or Plant Management teams.
• Compile and submit fortnightly and monthly reports detailing production performance to the Central Planning department.
• Collaborate extensively with departments such as Standardization, Central Planning, Vendors, Costing, and Plant teams for synchronized production plan execution.
• Assist with inventory oversight, stock reconciliations, and physical stock counts to uphold the accuracy of production planning.
• Drive initiatives to improve production planning procedures, enhancing efficiency, productivity, and resource use.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency with SAP modules (PM/MM) or comparable ERP systems.
• Knowledge of materials management, inventory control, stock accounting, warehousing, transportation, and logistics management.
• Strong analytical ability with advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.
• Previous experience in production planning and scheduling is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment and quality control parameters.
• Effective communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with problem-solving and negotiation capabilities.
