About the Role
The Executive - Production & Maintenance will oversee smooth and safe operational workflows at the Ahmedabad unit of AIMS Oxygen Pvt. Ltd., focusing on the efficient and continuous production of industrial gases such as Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon, and CO₂. The role involves managing daily production activities, ensuring equipment upkeep, regulatory compliance, and fostering ongoing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations including cylinder filling tasks.
- Implement planned preventive maintenance and handle urgent repairs of plant machinery.
- Supervise operations of compressors, pumps, and associated utilities and equipment.
- Ensure achievement of production goals, uphold product quality, and minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed records related to production and maintenance activities.
- Guarantee adherence to safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and legal compliance under PESO and the Factory Act.
- Work collaboratively with teams across Production, Dispatch, Quality, and Maintenance functions.
- Drive initiatives such as 5S workplace organization, proper personal protective equipment usage, and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educational background with a Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Production Engineering.
- Between 1 and 3 years of professional experience within industrial gas manufacturing, oxygen or cryogenic plants, chemical manufacturing, or process industries.
- Experience in oxygen cylinder filling or Air Separation Units is considered beneficial.
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in production planning methodologies.
- Proficient in preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Focus on equipment reliability and uptime optimization.
- Awareness of safety standards and statutory compliances.
- Effective coordination and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with MS Excel and reporting tools.
Additional Information
This position offers a monthly salary ranging from INR 25,000 to 30,000. The role demands onsite presence at the Ahmedabad unit and reports directly to the Unit Manager of Operations.
