About the Role

The Employee Experience & Relations (EXR) team at Amazon is searching for a highly skilled Lead Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support for a pivotal, high-profile position. This role demands a seasoned expert who demonstrates discretion, sound judgment, and strong business insight. Acting as a trusted ally, the individual will amplify leadership productivity across a multifaceted global organization.

This opportunity goes beyond conventional administrative duties, requiring the executive assistant to proactively anticipate needs, enforce operational discipline, and prioritize the VP's time towards the most critical business objectives. Navigating uncertainty, independent decision-making, and influential communication across organizational layers are essential. Poise and a strong sense of accountability under pressure are mandatory.

The position offers privileged insights into senior leadership decision-making processes, organization-wide people strategies, and the chance to impact Amazon's large-scale employee experience initiatives. This role requires presence onsite five days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the VP’s office, Chiefs of Staff, senior management, and other executive assistants to foster effective coordination within the EXR leadership.
  • Assist with drafting, editing, and managing important executive communications, ensuring the VP remains well-informed of vital matters and shielded from distractions.
  • Manage the VP’s calendar strategically, aligning agendas with business priorities across multiple time zones, securing focus periods, and resolving scheduling conflicts.
  • Organize leadership events including offsites, all-hands, team gatherings, and cross-organization meetings with full logistical oversight (venue, agenda, catering, AV equipment, follow-ups).
  • Lead and mentor other executive assistants within the EXR organization, offering guidance, onboarding, and fostering adherence to organizational standards.
  • Coordinate complex domestic and international travel plans that maximize efficiency and comply with company policies, proactively addressing potential disruptions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, business partners, and executive assistants across Amazon, acting as a reliable contact point for the VP's office and external collaborators.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential employee-related information with utmost discretion, respecting the nature of EXR’s work on employee relations, investigations, and workforce strategies.
