Role Overview
The position of Environmental Specialist is based onsite in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, exclusively for Saudi nationals, reporting through the KSA branch. This full-time role is responsible for facilitating environmental projects and ensuring compliance activities are executed efficiently. Key daily duties involve conducting environmental assessments, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, preparing reports for authorities and clients, and providing technical insights on environmental management plans.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough environmental assessments and audits within project scopes.
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and policies.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports and documentation for regulatory bodies and clients.
- Review and interpret evolving environmental policies and standards to advise internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and external partners on environmental matters.
- Assist in the implementation and adherence of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) protocols.
- Participate actively in environmental audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of environmental performance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related disciplines, with advanced qualifications preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) practices and Environmental Science principles.
- Proven knowledge of environmental compliance and policy interpretation.
- Excellent communication capabilities, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in environmental consulting or regulatory compliance roles, particularly within the regional context, is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools and environmental data analysis software is a plus.
