About the Role
Join a dynamic team dedicated to improving lives every day through culturally responsive, high-quality services aligned with Tikanga Māori values including Manaakitanga, Kotahitanga, Wairuatanga, Whānaungatanga, and Rangatiratanga. This role is based in Nelson and offers a chance to contribute to impactful employment services.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients referred from Work and Income, focusing on employment pathways aimed at achieving financial independence.
- Develop strong relationships with local employers, government agencies, industry partners, disability support services, and other providers to create valuable job opportunities.
- Understand jobseekers’ backgrounds, build trust, and assist them in obtaining employment that aligns with their goals, experience, and strengths.
- Identify upskilling needs for jobseekers within their chosen sectors and coordinate with training providers to facilitate relevant short course certifications.
Candidate Profile
- Must hold a current full New Zealand driver’s licence.
- Experience from diverse fields such as recruitment, social services, sales, business development, government, or industry is valued.
- Key personal qualities include life skills, enthusiasm to support others, perseverance, resilience, and the ability to motivate and empower people.
- A self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to proactively manage one’s workday and responsibilities.
