Job Overview
Kent is hiring an Electrical Site Engineer for its Oil & Gas team in Khurais, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The role is a key part of a growing engineering team and will contribute to strengthening technical capability and supporting the company’s presence in the sector.
This position focuses on site engineering, design support, and project execution in line with Saudi Aramco requirements, relevant NACE standards, and international codes. The engineer will also support corrosion control and cathodic protection activities as a NACE-certified professional.
Responsibilities
- Assess electrical design packages covering power distribution, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection.
- Produce engineering deliverables such as single-line diagrams, load schedules, cable schedules, and layout drawings.
- Verify that drawings and documents meet Saudi Aramco engineering standards, specification requirements, NACE standards, and applicable international codes.
- Assist procurement efforts by checking vendor-submitted documents.
- Prepare procurement-related documents including MTA, MR, TBE, and similar submissions.
- Mark up drawings for redline updates and help complete as-built documentation, including I-Plant requirements.
- Spot technical concerns or departures from requirements and raise technical queries where needed.
- Contribute to reports, method statements, and work procedures.
- Support testing and commissioning for cathodic protection systems, grounding systems, transformers, rectifiers, and related electrical equipment.
- Review coating inspection reports, pipe-to-soil potential readings, continuity test reports, and cathodic protection performance data.
- Use AutoCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks in day-to-day work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- NACE certification is required.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
- Ability to work with moderate supervision while steadily building independent judgment.
- Willingness to support new initiatives, assist new joiners, and challenge existing approaches when needed.
- Awareness of health, safety, sustainability, environment, and quality obligations for the company, clients, and host-country authorities.
