Overview

China State Construction Middle East (CSCEC ME) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team for a newly awarded high-rise tower project in Dubai. The role involves leading and supervising the electrical technical team while ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, support and manage the electrical technical team to meet project targets with strong oversight and task delegation.
  • Oversee the preparation and design of detailed engineering work for electrical systems.
  • Conduct quality reviews to ensure engineering deliverables meet all relevant specifications, codes, standards, client, consultant, and authority requirements including ADDC, DEWA, DCD, ADCD, FEWA, and SEWA.
  • Perform technical audits and supervision for assigned projects on behalf of the head office to identify and resolve technical challenges.
  • Monitor and review Building Information Modeling (BIM) models to ensure accuracy and coordination.
  • Study and review Tender/IFC drawings and specifications, raising Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed.
  • Handle electrical design, installation, testing, and commissioning of all electrical services.
  • Conduct expert electrical calculations, including load calculations, breaker and cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, capacitor bank sizing, and lighting level calculations.
  • Review method statements and material submittals related to electrical services.
  • Apply knowledge of Dubai Municipality Green Building requirements.
  • Provide technical support across site, procurement, commercial, and other departments.
  • Prepare and review technical solutions ensuring compliance with design standards, codes of practice, and engineering principles within agreed timelines and quality benchmarks.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with authorities and technical disciplines involved.
  • Supervise and assess the performance of engineering staff.
  • Conduct onsite inspections and audits of electrical installations as necessary.
  • Effectively coordinate with main contractors, suppliers, clients, and consultants, demonstrating strong communication and management skills.
  • Assist the technical manager in enhancing team work quality and productivity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering projects.
