Electrical Costing & NPD Engineer

Core responsibilities

• Build product cost estimates and perform should-cost analysis for automotive electrical and electronic components.
• Review supplier pricing proposals and contribute to sourcing decisions.
• Manage RFQ coordination and commercial conversations with suppliers.
• Assist in identifying, onboarding, and developing new suppliers.
• Support cost optimization and localization programs.
• Contribute to new product development activities from early concept stage through production launch.
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, SCM, and external suppliers to keep projects moving.
• Examine supplier submissions including PPAP, IMDS, and RoHS-related declarations.
• Monitor project milestones and follow up on supplier commitments and deliverables.
• Prepare costing analyses, sourcing updates, and management-level presentation material.

Component exposure

The role involves working with wiring harnesses, clusters, switches, lamps, and low-voltage electrical systems.
