About the Role
Chandan Retail is a newly launched company looking for a seasoned E-Commerce Manager to establish and grow its online sales operation from the beginning. The position is responsible for building the digital commerce foundation, choosing and rolling out the right technology stack, planning and running online marketing efforts, maintaining product information, and delivering a strong customer journey online.
Reporting Line
This role reports directly to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement a complete e-commerce plan that supports the company’s business objectives.
- Evaluate and choose the most suitable platform for the business, such as Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce.
- Manage the website’s design, development, and user experience improvements.
- Connect payment systems, delivery partners, CRM, and ERP solutions.
- Work with internal teams to prepare, maintain, and update online product catalogs.
- Keep product details, pricing, and stock information accurate and current.
- Apply SEO practices to improve visibility of product pages.
- Plan and execute digital campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, and email marketing.
- Increase traffic, conversions, and customer acquisition through online channels.
- Handle social commerce and marketplace activity on platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Noon, where relevant.
- Set up workflows for order processing, shipping, and returns.
- Track business metrics including sales, conversion rate, and ROI.
- Prepare periodic reports and insights to support data-driven decisions.
- Hire, train, and supervise a small e-commerce and digital team.
- Coordinate with marketing, finance, and logistics teams to keep operations running smoothly.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in launching an e-commerce business or running online stores.
- Solid knowledge of digital analytics, UX/UI, SEO, and paid advertising.
- Practical experience with e-commerce and analytics tools such as Shopify, Google Analytics, and Meta Business Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good analytical ability and leadership capability.
- Experience working in a startup or launching a new brand is preferred.
- Understanding of omnichannel retail and marketing automation is an advantage.
- Ability to think strategically while also handling day-to-day execution.
Compensation and Work Environment
The offered salary is INR 4,00,000 to INR 5,00,000 per year. The company describes the role as full-time and provides a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with room for career growth.
