Director, Supply Chain Planning (SAP IBP)

Role overview

This opening is for a Director-level supply chain planning leader focused on SAP IBP within a manufacturing environment. The position is responsible for shaping the planning technology direction, guiding implementation, and continuously improving planning solutions that support better business decisions.

You will collaborate with leaders from Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, and Finance to strengthen integrated planning across the organisation. The aim is to improve forecast accuracy, make inventory use more efficient, and raise customer service levels. A major part of the role is to support digital transformation by driving SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) adoption and ensuring it works smoothly with SAP S/4HANA.

Key responsibilities

• Set and steer the technology roadmap for supply chain planning.
• Work with business stakeholders to uncover planning pain points and turn them into scalable technology solutions.
• Own the rollout and ongoing improvement of SAP IBP across demand, inventory, supply, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
• Make sure SAP IBP is properly connected with SAP S/4HANA so planning and execution flow end to end.
• Lead large transformation initiatives aimed at modernising planning processes and lifting operational performance.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and manage a strong team made up of solution architects, product owners, and business analysts.
• Partner across functions to harmonise planning practices and encourage standard ways of working.
• Promote continuous improvement through advanced planning tools, analytics, and scenario modelling.

Experience and requirements

• Over 10 years of experience leading IT solutions in supply chain planning.
• Deep hands-on expertise in SAP IBP, including integration with SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong knowledge of planning disciplines such as demand planning, inventory optimisation, supply planning, and S&OP.
• Background delivering enterprise-scale SAP or broader digital transformation programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with senior business leaders.
• Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Experience in manufacturing, life sciences, consumer goods, or industrial sectors is preferred.
• SAP IBP or SAP Supply Chain certifications would be an added advantage.
