Role Summary
The Value Chain Management (VCM) organization oversees our Manufacturing Division's product supply chain strategy aligned with global commercial brand goals. The Biologics VCM Product Leader is the key end-to-end supply chain strategist for one or multiple biologics products. This leader is responsible for supply chain design, global filings and launch strategies, demand-capacity planning, risk management, cost projection, and lifecycle strategy management post-approval. These activities directly impact cost, quality, service, compliance, supply continuity, and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional Supply Chain Working Groups or Value Chain Management Teams for pipeline or commercial biologics products.
- Drive decisions on site selection, supply chain design, and value stream mapping.
- Secure senior stakeholder alignment on supply chain strategic initiatives through executive governance.
- Develop and update lifecycle strategies and product master plans as products progress through commercialization.
- Manage post-approval enhancements regarding products, processes, quality, and productivity.
- Oversee integrated risk management and business continuity planning, prioritizing mitigation actions.
- Lead global filing and launch strategies to coordinate market entry timing and scope across divisions.
- Forecast and maintain cost of goods throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support long-term network and platform strategies with manufacturing capability expansion efforts.
- Collaborate with Global Human Health teams on long-range demand forecasts and supply modeling with VCM analytics.
- Address supply disruptions by defining strategic alternatives at the network level.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and management to cross-functional team members, facilitating organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Supply Chain Management is required; Master's preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of extensive experience in large-molecule biologics/vaccines operations, technology, quality, or supply chain fields.
- Proven leadership of geographically diverse matrix teams through complex strategy and project deployment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of business functions including product/process development, manufacturing, finance, regulatory, quality, compliance, supply chain, and commercial operations.
- Understanding of manufacturing, testing, release processes, regulatory strategies for new product introductions, and lifecycle management.
- Ability to integrate product development with clinical and CMC strategies to ensure robust, high-quality launches.
- Competence in designing supply chains aligned with capacity, cost, and SCM KPIs such as lead time, inventory, and costs of goods sold.
- Strong strategic thinking with the capacity to synthesize complex inputs into clear business-aligned strategies.
- Experience making decisive, influential decisions in ambiguous settings.
- Excellent leadership skills fostering both individual and cross-functional team success.
- Business acumen involving financial analysis, business case development, product COGS management, and risk oversight.
- Assertive communication skills with the ability to persuade and drive accountability.
- Proactive in identifying supply chain risks and improvements beyond assigned roles.
- Proficient in project and portfolio management techniques and data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, capable of presenting complex information clearly to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualification
- Master's degree with at least eight years of relevant experience.
Additional Information
This role requires approximately 10% travel and operates in a hybrid work setting but is primarily onsite in Carmanhall and Leopardstown, Ireland. There is no relocation support, visa sponsorship, or requirement for a driving license. The position is a regular status role with a first shift schedule.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range is $173,200 to $272,600 annually, determined by factors such as education, experience, and location. Eligible candidates may receive an annual bonus and long-term incentives. A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid leave, and more is offered.
