About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned and visionary Director of Supply Chain Management to direct the comprehensive supply chain strategy and execution for our organization. This leadership position involves optimizing all facets of the supply chain, including planning, procurement, inventory, logistics, supplier partnerships, and operations, while designing scalable processes that facilitate sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement detailed supply chain strategies that promote operational excellence and aligned business growth.
- Oversee all supply chain functions such as demand and supply planning, purchasing coordination, inventory control, logistics, distribution, transportation, and supplier relationship management.
- Develop and enforce governance frameworks, standards, and best practices to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership and departments including Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and IT to synchronize supply chain efforts with company goals.
- Foster and maintain robust partnerships with suppliers, logistics services, and key business allies to elevate service quality and performance.
- Drive initiatives focused on continuous process improvements, inventory management, cost reduction, operational effectiveness, and supply chain flexibility.
- Formulate forecasting, capacity, and inventory optimization strategies that effectively meet customer demands and corporate targets.
- Track supply chain performance using executive dashboards, analytics, and KPIs to seek ongoing enhancements.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure resilient and continuous operations.
- Lead projects centered on supply chain digital transformation, leveraging automation, analytics, and modernization techniques.
- Evaluate and enhance systems including ERP, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, inventory software, and business intelligence tools.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, operations, manufacturing, or related areas.
- Proven success managing comprehensive supply chain organizations in complex, multi-site, or fast-growing environments.
- Strong skills in supply and demand planning, inventory optimization, supplier management, procurement, logistics, and operational strategy.
- Experience leading business process improvements, operational excellence, and enterprise-level supply chain transformations.
- Expertise in analytics, finance, strategic planning, with capabilities in executive reporting and performance measurement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to guide cross-functional teams and manage organizational change successfully.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, supply chain software, WMS, TMS, inventory management platforms, and BI solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, CPSM, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalents are advantageous.
- Background in manufacturing, healthcare, technology, retail, consumer goods, industrial, logistics, life sciences, aerospace, or similarly complex industries.
- Experience leading digital supply chain projects, integrated business planning, network optimization, procurement modernization, or operational improvement programs.
- Knowledge of supply chain analytics, forecasting tools, automation, inventory optimization, and integrated planning methodologies.
