This leadership role is pivotal in establishing the field operations needed to scale TeraFab effectively.

Role Overview

The Director of TeraFab Operations acts as the general manager for field deployment, responsible for developing the team, defining operational frameworks, leading field execution, and ensuring continuous feedback to engineering for reliable technology performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the operating model for deployment, site readiness, and field execution to ensure scalable and replicable operations.
• Own the end-to-end field execution, operational performance, and associated costs within the function.
• Implement management routines, decision-making structures, and operational rhythms for transitioning from pilot deployments to continuous operations.
• Create a feedback mechanism between field teams and engineers to promptly identify and resolve technical and operational challenges.
• Recruit, nurture, and retain a competent team of leaders and frontline personnel adept at operating in dynamic field conditions.
• Develop workforce pipelines, hiring strategies, onboarding processes, and training programs to support organizational growth.
• Promote a culture centered on accountability, urgency, professionalism, and active problem-solving.
• Ensure operational support for multi-shift deployment including supervisory frameworks and robust safety protocols.
• Formulate logistics and lifecycle management strategies covering maintenance, staging, storage, and refurbishment.
• Assist in establishing a central support hub in the Dallas area to enhance equipment readiness, training, and field operations.
• Maintain hands-on involvement to directly address operational challenges in the field.
• Oversee safe, efficient, and professional execution at customer and project sites.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering, product, project, and commercial teams to remove bottlenecks and enhance field outcomes.
• Manage civil construction scopes including site prep, foundations, and pile installation in coordination with subcontractors for solar and data center projects.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in field operations, construction, deployment leadership, or intensive service operations environments.
• Proven track record of managing operations accountable for performance, costs, and execution quality.
• Experience with P&L responsibility and disciplined business management.
• Strong capabilities in recruiting and developing field leadership talent.
• Technical understanding sufficient to oversee hardware, robotics, and field performance, and collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent judgment, ownership mentality, and adaptability in fast-paced, ambiguous settings.
• Willingness and ability to undertake extensive travel and significant field presence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience with utility-scale solar construction on large-scale, complex projects.
• Experience managing shift-based or multi-shift field operations.
• Background in field service, heavy machinery, industrial systems, or robotics.
• Familiarity with logistics, maintenance, refurbishment, or asset-readiness program development.
• Experience launching regional operational hubs or training centers.
• Hands-on experience with pile installation operations.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a base salary range of $180,000 to $210,000, determined by role, experience, location, and qualifications, with potential for salary above this range.
