Role overview
The Director of Corporate Growth is charged with expanding unrestricted corporate income by winning new corporate partners. In this position, you will lead the search for prospects, build relationships, present partnership opportunities, negotiate terms, and guide new corporate partners through onboarding in support of the organization’s mission and long-term funding needs.
Compensation and location
Starting pay for this role is $115,000. The position is based in the United States and can be performed from home in any of the 21 U.S. states where Rise Against Hunger currently operates.
Key responsibilities
This role centers on new partner acquisition, executive relationship development, pipeline oversight, revenue forecasting, and collaboration with internal teams. It also includes additional duties assigned by the supervisor as business needs evolve.
Corporate partnership acquisition
- Create and run an annual strategy to bring in new corporate partners in line with organizational revenue targets.
- Research, identify, and assess companies that fit the mission and partnership priorities.
- Arrange introductory conversations, discovery meetings, and relationship-building opportunities with prospective partners.
- Close new partnerships that bring in unrestricted revenue and create lasting value for the organization.
Strategic relationship development
- Build and maintain relationships with senior executives at prospective partner organizations.
- Work with senior leadership to open doors and move strategic opportunities forward.
- Represent the organization at networking functions, conferences, and industry events to uncover and develop partnership prospects.
- Hand off newly secured partners smoothly into stewardship and account management processes.
Pipeline management and forecasting
- Manage an active portfolio of about 100 to 150 prospects and 25 to 40 qualified opportunities.
- Track movement through the sales cycle and apply tactics that improve conversion.
- Review and report on pipeline status, forecasting, and expected revenue.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Work with Marketing and Communications on lead generation campaigns and outreach strategies.
- Coordinate with Market Development Managers and Meal Program leadership to surface warm leads and corporate possibilities.
- Partner with the Multi-Site Engagement Team to assess and pursue new opportunities while keeping prospect engagement, event delivery, and partner experience aligned.
Work environment and travel
This is a work-from-home role. Occasional travel is expected at about 15% regionally, and there may also be trips to organization locations for strategic meetings with Donor Engagement Team members. The role may additionally involve travel outside the United States to countries where the organization works.
Physical requirements
The job may require extended sitting, as well as standing, walking, and occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds. You should be comfortable working at a computer, using a phone at the same time, and performing tasks that require good hand and finger dexterity. Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are also needed.
Supervisor duties
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.

Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- At least 7 to 10 years of background in business development, corporate fundraising, sales, strategic partnerships, or a similar area.
- Proven ability to win new corporate partnerships at the six-figure level, or achieve comparable business development results.
- Strong skills in prospecting, relationship management, and negotiation.
- Experience handling a complex sales or fundraising pipeline.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal writing abilities.
Additional required experience
- At least 4 years of sales or fundraising experience focused on new business development.
- At least 2 years of team leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success in outbound or cold pipeline generation and revenue growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including turning data into action.
- Experience managing pipeline metrics, conversion performance, and sales results.
Preferred qualifications
- Formal training in consultative selling.
- Experience with nonprofit fundraising or corporate partnerships.
- Experience scaling outbound sales approaches.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
