Key Responsibilities

• Design commercially viable products aligned with the brand’s vision and overall business strategies, concentrating on high-volume categories such as core collections and trend-focused capsules.
• Produce seasonal product designs emphasizing style, fabric choice, print, fit, and brand consistency.
• Modify designs based on stakeholder feedback ensuring finalization that meets expectations.
• Implement methods to anticipate and exceed customer needs, reacting promptly to market demands.
• Deliver designs with precision and efficiency, maintaining high standards of detail and agility.
• Research industry trends, competitor activity, and sourcing opportunities both internally and externally.
• Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Marketing, and Product Development teams throughout the design lifecycle.
• Present design concepts and prototypes to internal leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical sketches and detailed specifications to support product development.
• Proactively identify issues and resolve conflicts, maintaining consistent communication to ensure project progress.
• Lead and mentor a mid-sized team of junior designers, fostering growth and collaboration.
• Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance efficiency and speed without sacrificing design quality.
• Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring deliverables align with financial and scheduling goals.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years’ relevant design experience within a retail environment, demonstrating strong portfolio of original knitwear design work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent professional experience.
• Expertise with cut & sew knit techniques, combined with a refined sense of color, print, and graphic design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite tools.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to travel moderately within the U.S. and occasionally internationally.
• Proven ability to manage and inspire design teams while handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Compensation for this position ranges from $105,300 to $149,415 annually, depending on experience, skills, and regional factors.
