About the Role
Hennebery Eddy Architects is seeking a talented architectural designer to contribute to the development and documentation of design ideas, project details, and technical alternatives. The successful candidate will assist project teams—including architects, managers, and principals—in preparing for meetings with clients, the public, and stakeholders. This role requires contributing to the project's design direction while aligning with the firm's core values and fostering a collaborative office environment. This opportunity is based in our Bend, Oregon office.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in site documentation, program research, and preparing conceptual design drafts.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and requirements.
- Support the advancement of design and technical components through construction documentation and field construction phases.
- Organize, prepare, and present design and technical proposals in client-facing scenarios.
- Assist in building and maintaining client relationships and support business development initiatives.
- Facilitate communication within project teams and manage consultant scheduling.
- Adaptable focus, either dedicated to a single client with diverse projects or multiple simultaneous projects across various stages.
- Participate actively in enriching office culture, initiatives, and professional learning programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent graduate or someone with approximately one year of professional architectural experience.
- Working toward architectural licensure is preferred.
- LEED Accreditation is a desirable asset.
- Demonstrated strong organizational, design, and technical abilities.
- Proficient in visual and graphic design presentations, including hand sketching skills.
- Experience with 2D and 3D software such as Revit, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Bluebeam.
- Developing design capabilities and a solid understanding of multiple construction types with attention to detailed execution.
- Interest in design innovation, building technology, and sustainable architectural practices.
- Proven collaboration aptitude with clients, consultants, building contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Excellent skills in time management, project planning, and communication.
- Preferably able to provide at least three professional references.
