Job Overview

This role offers an exciting path to develop your professional career at Stantec as a Design Engineer based in Vishakhapatnam, India. Engage in comprehensive design and drafting activities within a collaborative environment, supporting varied infrastructural projects with state-of-the-art engineering tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Create fundamental plant and site layout plans, including the preparation of general arrangement drawings and pipeline longitudinal sections.
• Conduct grading, as well as cut and fill volume calculations relevant to project needs.
• Comprehend and apply clients' design standards, systems, and development procedures effectively in project deliverables.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with data and document management systems.
• Understanding of wet infrastructure networks and their design principles.
• Self-driven ability to work independently utilizing personal initiative.
• Strong teamwork abilities and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or an ITI certification as a draftsman in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical disciplines.
• Three to six years of relevant industrial experience.
• Proficiency with Computer-Aided Design software applicable to Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering sectors.
• Hands-on experience with 3D modeling and design tools including Bentley AECOsim Building Designer, Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley Microstation, Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and Open Road.
• Demonstrable experience working within Building Information Modeling (BIM) project environments.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Vishakhapatnam, India. There is no travel requirement associated with the role.
