Work Schedule

This role involves working Monday through Friday, from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tractor trailers or straight trucks to deliver and unload food products both within and between states, adhering to safety guidelines and timelines.
• Perform mandatory vehicle safety inspections before and after trips, ensuring all equipment meets company and regulatory standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and colleagues to resolve inquiries promptly.
• Verify loads by checking freight counts and condition before transportation, and accurately complete related documentation.
• Handle tasks such as moving tractors to loading docks, attaching trailers, unloading goods, and securing trailers as required.
• Collect payments where applicable, process customer returns, and manage damaged goods following company protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles and loading areas, and safely secure all equipment at the end of shifts.
• Accurately log hours of service in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
• Perform other assigned duties to support operational needs as necessary.

Candidate Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• At least 21 years old and meet all applicable state licensing and certification standards.
• Maintain a clean driving record with no violations in the last three years.
• Must pass a criminal background check and a driving skills test.
• Capable of manual tasks including lifting and using equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates to manage freight weighing typically between 10 and 90 pounds.
