Position Overview

The Deli Bakery Team Associate delivers outstanding customer service by embodying Walmart's core values. This role involves maintaining the Bakery and Deli sections through organizing the area, assisting with stocking, and facilitating sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain product shelves, tables, and storage areas, ensuring all items are correctly placed.
• Manage inventory by rotating stock and removing expired items.
• Ensure accurate signage and pricing for all merchandise.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety standards including cold chain protocols, temperature monitoring, food handling procedures, and expiration date compliance.
• Take customer orders for deli merchandise, prepare hot foods, and assist customers as needed.
• Prepare deli products using appropriate utensils, including cooking chicken using a rotisserie oven, and prepare side dishes for display.
• Follow precise thawing and baking procedures to maintain bakery product quality and presentation, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Execute proper ordering, clearance processes, price adjustments, labeling, and signage as required.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.35.

Minimum Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
