Overview

A prominent financial institution is seeking multiple skilled Data Scientists with expertise in artificial intelligence to join their team. This role offers a competitive salary package of $170,000 plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production-level code adhering to strong engineering practices, including DevOps methodologies, Git version control, and cloud infrastructure fundamentals.
• Work extensively with AWS cloud services and manage continuous integration and deployment pipelines primarily through Jenkins, though familiar alternatives like GitHub Actions are acceptable.
• Leverage AI development productivity tools, particularly GitHub Copilot or Cursor, to enhance coding efficiency and quality, with high proficiency in these tools considered a critical advantage.
• Transition from traditional Machine Learning approaches to generative AI frameworks by applying prompt engineering, context engineering, and establishing evaluation frameworks that measure hallucinations, response quality, and automated validation metrics.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with production code development, DevOps practices, Git, and cloud environments, specifically AWS.
• Proficient in using advanced AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Practical expertise in prompt engineering and context engineering for generative AI models.
• Ability to design and implement validation and evaluation mechanisms for AI-generated responses to ensure accuracy and user-friendliness.
• A strong experimental mindset grounded in classic machine learning techniques, including hyperparameter tuning and feature engineering, but adaptable to generative AI paradigms.
