Role Overview
This position entails leveraging your deep expertise and consultative skills to oversee strategic partnerships with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) collaborators, including leading cybersecurity companies, SIEM/SOAR platforms, Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), and technology integration partners. Your core mission will be ensuring these key partners effectively integrate, embed, and commercialize DomainTools’ data and threat intelligence solutions within their own software products and platforms.
As the Customer Success Manager-OEM, you will guide OEM accounts from the early technical scoping and API integration stages through contract renewals. Collaboration with internal teams such as Engineering, Product, and OEM Sales will be essential to drive increased consumption, maintain API health, and advance OEM bookings. We seek a technically proficient and cooperative individual who understands developer workflows, commercial licensing frameworks, and joint ecosystem partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage technical transition and discovery for OEM accounts, aligning DomainTools APIs and data feeds with partner architecture requirements.
- Collaborate with OEM engineering, product management, and developer teams to ensure smooth API integration and technical activation.
- Set and achieve clear onboarding milestones to reduce integration timelines and accelerate joint product launches.
- Establish deep, multi-functional relationships across OEM partners including Product Management, Engineering, CTOs, and Business Development teams.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to examine data and API usage, share DomainTools roadmap updates, and collect partner feedback.
- Maintain expert knowledge of DomainTools data, API infrastructure, rate limiting, and integration models, serving as a trusted advisor.
- Own timely contract renewals for assigned OEM accounts and license agreements.
- Monitor API usage patterns to discover expansion opportunities and collaborate with sales to promote additional data feed adoption and licensing upsells.
- Use platforms such as Salesforce and Gainsight to track integration health and ensure reliable forecasting of renewals and growth.
- Continuously assess API performance metrics to identify risks or technical issues that may impact partner usage.
- Lead escalation efforts for critical issues involving service disruptions, rate limit concerns, or data quality problems by coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Manage partner transitions through legacy API deprecations and schema updates with minimal disruption.
- Work closely with internal Product and Technical Account Managers to advocate for OEM-specific feature enhancements and data delivery improvements.
- Ensure partner API usage aligns with licensed entitlements and support joint go-to-market sales initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical Account Management, Customer Success, or Integration Management involving OEM or embedded software partnerships.
- Background working with enterprise cybersecurity platforms, MSSPs, SIEM/SOAR vendors, or Fortune 100 technology providers.
- Strong technical understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML data feeds, threat intelligence integration, and developer-oriented workflows; domain name system (DNS) or domain data expertise is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage commercial renewals and drive upsell opportunities within usage-based or embedded licensing contexts.
- Comfort engaging in detailed technical discussions with developers and architects, as well as commercial conversations with product managers and executives.
- Analytical mindset to monitor consumption data, platform health, and account risk metrics.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for partner visits, developer summits, and industry events supporting strategic relationships.
- Demonstrated capability to meet key performance indicators including gross retention, net retention/expansion, integration times, and API consumption growth.
