Customer Service and Operations Support

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and customer-oriented individual to join our team at the Hynds Pipe Systems branch located in Kaiwharawhara, with occasional duties at Naenae. This dynamic position involves a blend of customer service, sales, stock management, and operational tasks contributing to the smooth functioning of the branch.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers by identifying suitable products and provide sales support to the team.
• Establish and maintain genuine, effective relationships with customers to uphold our standard of excellence.
• Handle loading and unloading of trucks, operate forklifts, and manage customer deliveries efficiently and safely.
• Ensure stock is correctly organized, labeled, and easily accessible for customers.
• Receive incoming goods and contribute to maintaining precise stock records, including participation in stocktakes and routine cycle counts.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the branch premises including the yard and showroom, implementing 5S and general housekeeping practices.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines by using appropriate PPE, reporting hazards, and assisting in creating a safe working environment.
• Offer support wherever needed within the team, including training new team members.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service and commitment to accuracy and reliability.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to manage busy periods calmly.
• Willingness to develop deep knowledge of products over time.
• Capability to safely handle and move items weighing up to 20kg.
• Possession of a valid New Zealand Class 1 driver license with F endorsement.
• Forklift experience is advantageous, though training will be provided if not currently skilled.
