Overview

As a Customer Experience Specialist at Tesla, you will play a central role in shaping memorable customer interactions. You will be one of the first people customers meet in the showroom and the last person they interact with when taking delivery of their vehicle. The role is focused on creating welcoming, informative, and engaging experiences that support Tesla’s mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

You will help guide customers through the full Tesla journey, from their first visit to the showroom through to vehicle handover. The goal is to make the process of purchasing and receiving a Tesla feel as innovative and impressive as the product itself.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet walk-in visitors quickly and personally so they feel welcomed and comfortable starting a conversation.
  • Use thoughtful conversations to learn about each guest, why they came to Tesla, and their buying plans and timing, then build a detailed customer profile.
  • Educate guests and help them explore Tesla’s products by answering questions and tailoring the experience to their interests, including demo drives and Full Self-Driving demonstrations.
  • Lead delivery orientations in an engaging way, explaining the main features and benefits so new owners leave feeling confident and excited.
  • Help maintain a healthy sales pipeline by collecting guest details, arranging test drives, and spotting visitors with strong purchase intent.
  • Deliver excellent service to both current owners and prospective customers at all times.
  • Take on other related duties as needed to support business priorities.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service and/or sales, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets.
  • Genuine interest in Tesla’s mission, its products, and innovation in personal transportation.
  • Willingness to stay informed about EV market developments and local incentive programs.
  • Ability to explain both business topics and technical ideas clearly.
  • Strong team orientation, dependability, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, strong organization, and solid written and verbal communication ability.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a retail setting.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • For positions in CA, CO, HI, ID, MD, MS, NV, NC, OH, PA, TN, UT, VA, and DC, a Motor Vehicle Salesperson License from the state DMV is required for sales activity.
  • For positions in AZ, GA, HI, IA, IN, NC, NJ, NM, NY, OH, PA, VT, and WA, a notary license is preferred; if notary support is needed, Tesla will help with obtaining the license.
