Overview
At Lidl, from head office to store level, the primary mission is to provide an outstanding shopping experience for customers. If you are energetic, passionate about helping people, and keen to learn daily, this role offers a competitive salary starting at €460+ weekly based on a standard 30-hour workweek.
Daily Activities
The role involves varied shifts and diverse responsibilities. Shift patterns include:
- Morning shift: Beginning at 5 or 6 AM, stocking shelves with award-winning products, and preparing bakery items to have the store ready for opening.
- Middle shift: Starting mid-morning or early afternoon, maintaining cleanliness and merchandising standards, assisting customers and operating tills efficiently.
- Late shift: Focused on delivering excellent customer service at checkout, replenishing stock, and preparing the store for the next day.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing friendly, helpful interaction with customers.
- Adhering to stock loss prevention policies.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene both inside and outside the store.
- Following product freshness and stock rotation procedures.
- Correct management of store waste.
- Participating in stock counts.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a positive, can-do attitude with excellent customer service skills.
- Willing to go beyond to support customers.
- Reliable and responsible work ethic.
- Enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Customer-facing experience is advantageous but not mandatory if the right mindset is demonstrated.
- Must be at least 18 years old due to legal requirements for selling alcohol.

Lidl offers a transparent pay structure ensuring fairness throughout the organization, with hourly rates increasing progressively based on tenure:
- Starting at €15.40 per hour, rising to €17.90 after 3 years.
- Additional pay rates for unsocial hours (12AM-7AM), overtime, Sundays, and bank holidays which increase with years of service.

- Year 1 – Basic €15.40/hr, Unsocial €19.25/hr, Overtime/Sunday €23.10/hr, Bank Holiday €30.80/hr
- Year 2 – Basic €16.20/hr, Unsocial €20.25/hr, Overtime/Sunday €24.30/hr, Bank Holiday €32.40/hr
- Year 3 – Basic €16.90/hr, Unsocial €21.13/hr, Overtime/Sunday €25.35/hr, Bank Holiday €33.80/hr
- Year 4 – Basic €17.90/hr, Unsocial €22.38/hr, Overtime/Sunday €26.85/hr, Bank Holiday €35.80/hr
