About the role

Givaudan is looking for a Fragrance Developer to join its Singapore team, supporting Fabric Care work across Southeast Asia. This role sits in a collaborative, multicultural environment with strong opportunities to grow professionally and personally. Depending on the selected candidate’s background and seniority, the position may be placed at Evaluator, Senior Evaluator, or Creative Fragrance Manager level.

In Singapore, the work is closely connected with the company’s research, creation, and production capabilities, along with its perfumery school, helping drive innovation for the Asia-Pacific region.

What you will do

  • Set fragrance development direction and manage the creative process from brief to final selection.
  • Shape the olfactory strategy for assigned customers as well as proactive category-led initiatives.
  • Handle several complex briefs at once and select fragrances that meet project objectives.
  • Convert consumer market insights into practical scent guidance for perfumers.
  • Work with technology, creation, and application labs on stability testing, formulation behavior, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with other regional creative hubs to complete global assignments.
  • Support cross-regional project teams whenever needed.
  • Partner with commercial teams to align fragrance work with business priorities.
  • Track market movement and identify scent gaps with the marketing team.
  • Review new product launches through olfactive analysis to guide future development.

What you should bring

  • A bachelor’s degree plus 3 to 10 years of experience in fragrance evaluation, preferably across several categories and regions, with strong exposure to Fabric Care.
  • Solid olfactory expertise and a practical understanding of fragrance development workflows.
  • Strong planning and time-management ability, with the confidence to work independently.
  • Background in managing complex projects and working with regional or global accounts.
  • Technical understanding of how fragrances perform in Fabric Care applications, including stability, interaction with the base, and compliance.
  • A creative, proactive mindset with an ability to anticipate consumer and market needs.
  • Good communication and presentation skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to turn consumer data into clear fragrance direction.
  • Comfort working in multicultural, cross-functional settings.
