Role Overview
This position is for a counter-focused sales professional in Delhi-NCR who can handle walk-in customers, understand their needs, and support the full order process from enquiry to dispatch and billing.
Key Duties
- Welcome and assist customers at the counter.
- Identify the customer’s requirement and prepare a rough note for the order.
- Share product pricing clearly with customers.
- Inform the godown or labour team when material needs to be issued.
- Coordinate customer orders through dispatch and billing.
- Guide customers using basic product knowledge.
- Keep the counter area neat, tidy, and well-organized.
- Work with the team to meet daily sales targets.
Requirements
The candidate should have completed 12th standard; graduation is welcome but not compulsory. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hardware, building material, or retail counter environment is required. The role needs quick handwriting, fast customer handling, and basic computer skills. The ideal person will be honest, disciplined, polite, and comfortable handling 2 to 3 customers at the same time even under pressure.
Preferred Background
Experience in hardware, plywood, modular hardware, sanitary, electrical, or building material stores will be considered an advantage.
Compensation
The offered pay is INR 25,000 to 26,000 per month.
