Role Overview
The Coordinator for Marketing & Digital at Warner Records is a pivotal member of the artist marketing team, supporting campaigns for some of the most iconic artists globally. This role focuses on using viral and digital strategies to engage existing and new fans, increasing music awareness, sales, and streaming metrics. Responsibilities include creating short-form content for social platforms, assisting senior marketing leadership with administrative and operational tasks, and overseeing digital assets and content management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the digital and marketing teams across all phases of artist campaigns.
- Design and implement viral creator campaigns on platforms such as TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat.
- Develop and manage super fan groups for prominent Warner Records artists.
- Collaborate closely with creative teams to ensure cohesive, on-brand content across campaign elements ranging from video to interactive designs.
- Coordinate and execute short-form video shoots for artist promotion.
- Manage calendars for senior marketing executives.
- Administer artist YouTube channels and regularly update content during a song or album lifecycle.
- Monitor social media for potential issues such as negative comments or leaks and address them proactively.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling and expense management for department leadership.
- Work alongside departments including Marketing, Production, and A&R Admin to coordinate release preparations for multiple artists.
- Coordinate artwork and video assets delivery to design teams to support release materials.
- Contribute ideas in weekly brainstorming sessions focused on digital strategy for artists.
- Create custom ticketing links for releases, concerts, and streaming events.
- Update artist websites and social channels with tour and livestream scheduling information.
- Plan and publish content across Warner Records’ official social media channels including TikTok, Instagram, X, and Facebook.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational qualification.
- At least two years of professional experience in digital or social media marketing, direct-to-consumer marketing, or related fields, preferably within a record label or music management firm.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with in-depth knowledge of social media strategies.
- Strong passion for fan-centered digital marketing with a solution-oriented mindset to complete projects effectively.
- Capability to thrive in fast-paced environments while working collaboratively within teams.
- Demonstrated ability to influence online engagement and growth through digital campaigns.
- Proficiency with interactive platforms and tools including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, YouTube, Snapchat, Discord, website management, and Email/CRM strategies.
- Genuine enthusiasm for rock and pop music genres.
- Experience in launching viral creator campaigns and engaging with influencer agencies and creators.
- Familiarity with content seeding techniques.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of graphic design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.
- Video editing capabilities for short-form content using Adobe Premiere, iMovie, or similar tools.
- Experience with project management platforms like Monday.com and Basecamp.
- Understanding of social media metrics and posting tools such as Chartmetric.
- Previous record label experience.
- Skills in managing teams or people.
- Catalog marketing expertise.
