About the Role
Zimmer Biomet is seeking a Controller Analyst to join its controllership function in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role sits within a finance organization focused on accounting integrity, internal controls, compliance, and alignment of business practices across the region. You will help ensure local operations are aligned with global policies while supporting reporting, statutory and tax requirements, and audit readiness.

What You Will Do
- Support and coordinate period-end closing work, including journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and review of complete financial statements.
- Assist with financial reporting and external reporting activities.
- Help ensure VAT and e-invoicing obligations are met.
- Check that intercompany recharge entries are fully captured.
- Make sure all close tasks are completed, formally approved, and finalized according to the close calendar.
- Maintain statutory records and contribute to statutory audit preparation so compliance targets are achieved.
- Prepare documentation and data for tax audits in line with ZATCA requirements.
- Work with operations teams to verify stock count accuracy and apply the relevant policies.
- Draft representation letters for review and approval by the Country Controller Manager and provide the supporting information needed.
- Carry out SOX control requirements and compliance reporting, including managing the review cycle.
- Coordinate the PTP process with GBS and follow up on escalations until resolved.
- Identify and support process enhancements, technology rollouts, and automation initiatives that improve RTR efficiency and effectiveness.
- Handle special assignments, one-off reports, research requests, and issue resolution as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, along with 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of SOCPA, US GAAP, and other relevant regional or global standards such as IFRS and IASB is expected.
- Prior exposure to joint ventures or regional headquarters environments is considered an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with SAP products is required.
- Strong analytical thinking, clear verbal and written communication, teamwork, and organization are important.
- Ability to perform effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Self-driven mindset with the ability to meet tight deadlines and operate under time pressure.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
- Good understanding of accounting principles, standard accounting policies, and procedures.
- Comfort using ERP finance and controlling modules, general ledger tools, database systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of three-way matching controls and GR/IR posting is needed.
- Must be able to think critically and support additional duties and ad hoc requests.
