Role Overview

Join New Zealand's leading media company as a Content & Growth Strategist, playing a vital role in shaping the future of advertising. You will develop innovative brand partnerships, sponsorships, and growth strategies across TVNZ’s diverse platforms, combining creativity with analytical and commercial insights to deliver impactful results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and execution of sponsorships, integrations, and partnerships across TVNZ content and platforms.
  • Collaborate with the GM Growth & Partnerships to enhance TVNZ’s trade presence and spearhead priority growth initiatives leveraging technology, data, and market innovation.
  • Respond to high priority briefs from agencies and clients by capturing demand effectively.
  • Work closely with Sales, Integration, and Marketing teams to design annual plans and initiatives that leverage TVNZ content and brands to meet and exceed sales revenue targets with ambitious growth objectives.
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with media agency strategists and key clients to understand challenges and devise demand-driven solutions.
  • Oversee thought leadership programs and market communications to clearly convey TVNZ’s audience reach, platforms, content, and outcomes to the trade market.
  • Partner with GM Growth & Partnerships, Marketing, Sales, and Communications teams to maintain a robust trade presence through client engagement, trade press, events, webinars, research releases, and sales collateral.
  • Utilize consumer, customer, and commercial insights to recommend strategic initiatives and support growth projects.
  • Stay informed on shifts in the New Zealand media industry, audience behavior, and technology trends, advising customers on how to capitalize on TVNZ’s platforms and data.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong knowledge of social, digital, and linear media including integrated channel and content campaign planning.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience with Nielsen reporting tools is advantageous.
  • Ability to forge rapport and build effective relationships across all organizational levels promptly.
  • Capacity to analyze and interpret research and data accurately.

  • Relevant tertiary education and/or extensive experience in the media or communications sectors.
  • Demonstrated business experience in Advertising and/or Marketing.
  • Deep understanding of the New Zealand media market and competitive landscape.
  • Substantial media strategy and planning expertise.
  • Hands-on experience in briefing and leveraging insights to shape partnership opportunities.
