Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Support marketing campaign and project planning by clarifying goals, identifying target and exclusion criteria, and ensuring accurate data format specifications.
- Create customer profiles utilizing demographic, geographic, and psychographic data from both first- and third-party sources.
- Streamline operations by automating recurring list extractions and Power BI reports.
- Provide analytics consulting to optimize marketing strategies focused on precise customer targeting through appropriate products, channels, and timing.
- Engage in campaign design stages to define analytical needs and address challenges.
- Offer guidance on experimental campaign designs, including test/control setups and statistical significance evaluation.
- Promote data literacy ensuring correct interpretation and application of analytical outcomes.
- Collaborate with Research teams to integrate qualitative and quantitative insights for comprehensive solutions.
- Identify gaps in data, propose new data sources, and enhance processes to support growing business demands.
- Develop and present business use cases and recommendations for integration of emerging data and processes into the Marketing Analytics Datamart (MAD).
- Document new analytics methods and best practices in the Marketing Analytics Handbook and disseminate knowledge among team members.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Commerce, Analytics, or related fields.
- At least five years of experience in database marketing utilizing SAS and SQL.
- Minimum five years' experience in marketing analytics, including campaign list generation, reporting, and customer profiling.
- Proficient in Power BI tool usage.
- Skilled in designing audience targeting/exclusions, constructing test/control groups, lift measurement, and converting analytics into actionable business decisions using SQL and/or SAS.
- Experience working with third-party data such as Environics Prizm is a plus.
- SAS Certified Advanced Programmer (SAS 9) accreditation is favorable.
- Exhibits strong logical reasoning and systematic problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrates accuracy and meticulousness to produce high-quality results.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information
Salary range is CAD 59,500 to CAD 91,500 annually; actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, role complexity, and location. Salary stated does not include total compensation package. Candidates outside this range are still encouraged to apply.
