About the Role
Airswift, a leading global workforce provider in Energy, Infrastructure & IT across more than 70 countries, is collaborating with a prestigious Oil & Gas operator to recruit a Construction Lead specializing in CP7S Piping for a long-term contract. This key position is based offshore Qatar and requires leadership in safety, quality, and schedule adherence throughout construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure offshore safety standards are upheld to maintain a secure working environment.
- Maintain stringent offshore quality controls to guarantee impeccable delivery and startup processes.
- Manage and facilitate the Construction Team Representative (CTR) to ensure safe and timely project execution.
- Serve as the Project Management Team's (PMT) primary offshore point of contact for piping and mechanical Technical Queries (TQs).
- Assist with Permit to Work (PTW) procedures, daily offshore progress tracking, and conduct PTW meetings alongside the CTR.
- Provide support to the offshore Hook-Up (HU) Head when needed.
- Participate in HU meetings, review project documentation, and engage in risk assessments as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering.
- Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in large-scale construction projects within oil and gas, covering construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, and hook-up phases.
- Include at least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role involving management of service or vendor personnel.
- Experience working with oil and gas companies, contractors, service providers, or heavy construction firms.
- Strong understanding of design standards, codes, specifications, and safety criteria relevant to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up activities.
- Familiarity with offshore and onshore facilities or yard operations applicable to the project scope.
- Knowledge of execution methods and related hazards associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
- Experience in large-scale organizations across operations, projects, or subsurface domains.
Working Conditions
This position involves a 28 days on and 28 days off offshore rotation schedule, working 7 days a week with shifts of 12 hours per day. Candidates must be prepared for offshore living and working environments.
