Job description
Role Overview
We seek a skilled Community Manager to oversee and convert our extensive audiences—over two million social media followers plus an exclusive private membership community for wedding industry professionals. Success is measured by the engagement outcomes and conversion rates, not merely audience size.
Our brand, Wedded Wonderland, serves two distinct segments: wedding professionals (planners, photographers, florists, designers, and more) through a private membership platform, and consumers (engaged couples and families) via various consumer products and services like Wedded Concierge and Wonderland Studio.
Currently, although our audience is vast, conversion is inconsistent, and engagement responses such as comments, direct messages, and story replies lack timely and uniform handling. This position assumes responsibility for managing these interactions to transform questions and interest into bookings and sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and engage communities across all social media platforms related to Wedded Wonderland and the Wedded Network, handling high volumes generated by millions of followers.
- Develop and enforce community interaction standards, including response speed, communication tone, escalation protocols, and confidentiality.
- Administer day-to-day operations of the private wedding professional membership community: initiate conversations, respond to members, highlight valuable content, and sustain discussions.
- Handle onboarding and activation of new members, and re-engage those at risk of disengagement.
- Coordinate all aspects of events and masterclasses, including promotion, RSVP management, hosting duties, and post-event follow-ups. Ownership of attendance rates is expected.
- Maintain community guidelines across platforms to manage disputes, prevent spam and inappropriate self-promotion, all while upholding a luxurious brand image.
- Drive community-to-customer conversions across all offerings including B2C services like Wedded Concierge and Wonderland Studio, and B2B products targeting professionals.
- Create efficient, repeatable conversion paths through saved replies, messaging flows, link routing, lead capture systems, and seamless transition to sales teams.
- Foster bidirectional traffic between social channels and the private community, enhancing overall engagement and customer acquisition.
- Produce supporting visual and written content such as member spotlights, testimonials, event promotions, and short-form media assets without reliance on dedicated content teams.
- Utilize tools including Circle, GoHighLevel, Metricool, Canva, Zoho CRM, and AI technologies to efficiently manage volume while preserving a personalized community voice.
Reporting and Insights
- Deliver reports highlighting enquiries, bookings, and conversions stemming from community activities as primary metrics, with follower and engagement data secondary.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as response times, conversion rates from DMs to enquiries, and content formats driving commercial conversations versus engagement alone.
- Regularly assess private community health through member growth, weekly active users, activation rates, retention, and event attendance with transparent reporting including challenges.
- Feedback insights gained to content, marketing, and product teams to inform strategy and improvements.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in community management involving large social audiences and dedicated community platforms such as Circle, Skool, Kajabi, Mighty Networks, or Discourse, with documentation of impact on engagement and growth.
- Proven track record managing engagement at scale on sizable social accounts.
- Demonstrable results linking community activities to commercial outcomes like enquiries, bookings, sign-ups or sales including quantitative evidence.
- Comfort and adeptness in engaging consumers in quick, empathetic dialogues regarding costly, emotional purchases.
- Experience organizing and facilitating live events, masterclasses, or AMAs within online communities including promotion and follow-up logistics.
- Exceptional written English and the ability to represent a luxury brand compellingly across multiple audience segments independently.
- Sound judgment to handle conflicts, complaints, spam, and self-promotion discreetly and autonomously.
- Availability during business hours aligned with Sydney time zone.
Preferred Attributes
- Background in wedding, events, hospitality, travel, or luxury sectors.
- Proficiency with Circle platform features including member management, gamification, and paywalled courses.
- Experience managing revenue-sensitive paid or membership communities.
- Expertise in social selling and DM-based customer conversion using automated replies, workflows, and lead capture.
- Capability in basic content creation using Canva and short-form video editing.
- Familiarity with email marketing and newsletter generation.
- Utilization of AI tools to draft, summarize, prioritize, and schedule communications at scale.
Interview Requirement
Candidates will be asked to present a case study describing one community they successfully grew, the engagement metrics before and after their tenure, and tangible commercial outcomes such as enquiries, sign-ups, or revenue, supported by dashboard evidence.
