Role Overview
As a Community Associate, you will serve as the primary face of WeWork, engaging directly with members and guests. Reporting daily to your building, you will assist the Community Management team in creating an inviting and collaborative environment while ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and nurture a welcoming, community-oriented atmosphere through organizing events and fostering member connections.
- Ensure the seamless operation of building processes and overall functionality.
- Promote and drive growth of WeWork’s service offerings among members.
- Support the Community Team by collaborating with the Community Lead and Manager as required.
- Exemplify WeWork's values to advance our mission.
- Depending on your location, work with diverse member groups or focus on Enterprise clients, adapting to varied operational and relationship requirements.
- Manage front desk activities during business hours, acting as an accessible point of contact on the member floor or Community Bar.
- Warmly greet members and visitors, ensuring guests comply with WeWork's sign-in policies.
- Develop personal relationships by learning member and guest names to enhance community feel.
- Anticipate members’ needs proactively to personalize their experience.
- Maintain up-to-date building-specific forms including pet registrations and filming requests.
- Keep the front desk area tidy and organized.
- Notify members of deliveries and couriers promptly.
- Address inquiries about building policies, navigation, and etiquette.
- Provide input on event programming based on member demographics and evaluate event success.
- Celebrate member milestones through thoughtful recognition.
- Distribute event information via posters and manage operational requirements for events.
- Record member notes in the community management system.
- Create member engagement opportunities and promote community networking.
- Recommend local amenities such as restaurants, catering, and services relevant to members.
- Engage actively on the WeWork member network platform.
- Communicate building updates and policies clearly to members.
- Manage music and event ambience appropriately according to occasion.
- Handle mailroom duties including receiving, sorting, organizing mail, and managing courier parcels.
- Manage keys and keycards, ensuring accurate tracking, issuing, and collection upon member move-out.
- Support emergency equipment familiarity and usage at the location.
- Assist with automated coffee machine operations for guests and members.
Candidate Profile
- Preferably a college graduate with a four-year degree, though not mandatory.
- Minimum one year of experience in hospitality.
- Customer service or sales background is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities and capable multitasking skills.
- Integrity, reliability, accountability, self-awareness, strong work ethic, and empathy are essential traits.
- Genuine enthusiasm for entrepreneurial communities.
- Alignment with WeWork’s mission and core values.
- Basic computer proficiency is required.
