Role Overview

We seek a hands-on Communications Manager to execute key initiatives in media relations, partner go-to-market communications, and executive support. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Communications, your role will involve crafting press materials for product launches and partnerships, pitching stories to media outlets, coordinating approvals across teams, and ensuring smooth daily communication operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Consistently pitch and secure media coverage in mainstream, tier-one, and industry-specific outlets to elevate MoonPay's global brand presence.
• Manage the complete press release process from writing and internal review to legal approvals, partner validation, and distribution through platforms like PR Newswire.
• Develop and maintain a robust network of media contacts, actively sourcing new journalists to foster ongoing relationships that support future press coverage.
• Handle incoming press inquiries by coordinating prompt and accurate information from internal experts.
• Compile detailed reports on media coverage and visibility metrics.
• Create supplementary content including blog posts for MoonPay’s newsroom and assist with award nominations and industry submissions.
• Prepare detailed briefing notes and talking points for executives participating in panels, interviews, and events.
• Coordinate event speaker logistics including registrations, scheduling, and communication with organizers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, partnerships, legal, and leadership teams globally to synchronize messaging and announcement timings.
• Oversee management of PR tools and vendor platforms.
• Maintain the go-to-market pipeline tracker, identifying scheduling conflicts and dependencies proactively.

Candidate Profile

• 4 to 6 years of professional experience in journalism, communications, public relations, or media relations, preferably within cryptocurrency, fintech, or rapidly growing technology sectors.
• Excellent writing capability to produce engaging, precise, and polished press releases, blog entries, briefing documentation, and social media content.
• Adeptness in navigating product, partnerships, and legal teams within a fast-moving and asynchronous work setting.
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple projects alongside a dynamic editorial calendar.
• Experience with wire distribution services and PR software such as Muck Rack or Cision.
• Foundational understanding of crypto and blockchain technologies, including stablecoins, transaction on/off-ramps, and regulatory frameworks.
• Preferred, but not mandatory: experience collaborating with external PR agencies and handling international media.
• Agency background in crypto or fintech-focused public relations is a plus but not required.

Compensation Range

Annual salary from $100,000 to $140,000.
