About the Role
Our client, a prominent investment firm based in Central London, is seeking a Communications Assistant to become part of their communications team with hybrid working arrangements (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). This position is ideal for a skilled writer who has sound judgement, a keen interest in the investment sector, and the capacity to juggle several projects simultaneously within a dynamic, professional setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, revise, and proofread various written materials for internal communication channels such as newsletters, intranet updates, and digital signage.
- Generate and manage content for external channels including corporate websites and social media platforms.
- Contribute to establishing and maintaining a consistent tone, messaging, and style across all communication outputs.
- Assist in content planning and upkeep of editorial calendars.
- Help coordinate and execute internal and external events including receptions and conferences.
- Support the Communications team by conducting research and preparing briefings, speeches, talking points, and scripts for senior leaders.
- Compile background materials, briefing packs, and Q&A documents for meetings and events.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of communication components.
- Manage approval workflows, version control, and document organization related to communications.
- Maintain communication archives and content libraries.
- Track relevant media, social media, and internal updates as required.
- Provide routine administrative assistance to the communications function.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility
- Previous experience in communications, public affairs, journalism, or a related area is advantageous.
- Genuine interest in financial services, investment companies, or professional services sectors.
- Passion for corporate storytelling and brand management.
- Ability to confidently engage with senior-level stakeholders.
- Preferably holds a university degree.
