The Commissioning Inspector will join a multidisciplinary project team to conduct site inspections, validate testing results, and deepen their understanding of commissioning processes and test procedures within engineering disciplines. This role supports senior personnel and involves direct engagement with contractors and project documentation

Primary Duties

• Assist senior team members with commissioning activities.
• Conduct on-site inspections in the electrical discipline, reviewing installation quality and compliance.
• Develop expertise in specific disciplines and understand system interactions within buildings.
• Evaluate test procedures and confirm recorded results meet project specifications and industry standards.
• Review project documentation for adherence to requirements.
• Prepare concise and accurate reports on observed issues and site activities.
• Maintain professional communication with contractors’ commissioning teams.
• Monitor submittals, installations, and engineering tools usage according to project and commissioning guidelines.
• Track task completion and prepare forward-looking documentation.
• Keep daily logs of inspections, document reviews, and site decisions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant educational credentials including MEP/Building Services Engineering degrees, BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, diplomas, certificates, or trade qualifications.
• 2 to 4 years of related experience depending on qualification level.
• Additional industry accreditations preferred but not mandatory, such as Incorporated Engineer status, CSA Grade 3, or commissioning certifications like BCA, ACG, or NEBB.
