About the Role

We are currently seeking a meticulous professional to assist in strategic category evaluations and provide insightful data analysis that drives crucial business decisions within a fast-moving retail sector. This is a contract position lasting three months, located in Mangere.

As a Commercial Analyst collaborating closely with the Wholesale team in a dynamic FMCG setting, your responsibilities will include delivering comprehensive analysis of category performance, identifying growth opportunities, and enhancing reporting functionalities to facilitate informed decisions and stimulate business development. Working alongside key stakeholders, you will be instrumental in generating insights that steer commercial approaches and optimize category outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and report on the performance of categories and suppliers.
• Contribute to optimizing product ranges and pricing approaches.
• Upgrade reporting methods with business intelligence tools.
• Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Work collaboratively across departments to support data-informed decisions.

Candidate Profile

• At least three years of commercial analysis experience within FMCG, retail, or supply chain sectors.
• Proficiency with systems such as SAP, Google Cloud Platform, and COGNOS is advantageous.
• Advanced skills in Excel and data interpretation.
• An eye for detail combined with an understanding of broader business impacts.
• A proactive, cooperative approach with the ability to deliver timely, high-quality results.
• A strong curiosity and motivation to uncover deeper insights.
