About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and meticulous Cleaner to join our client’s team, focusing on cleaning services at residential rental properties. This position involves performing move-in and move-out cleans, rental turnover cleaning, and preparing properties for listing readiness to ensure they meet company standards and are ready for photos, showings, inspections, or move-in appointments.
Our client operates as a comprehensive leasing partner utilizing proprietary technology to help landlords reduce vacancies by efficiently managing the leasing process from listing to move-in. The role requires a professional who is organized, capable of working independently in the field, and able to follow detailed cleaning checklists while documenting every aspect of completed work.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit residential rental properties to conduct cleaning appointments focused on move-in, move-out, and turnover cleaning.
- Perform thorough cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living spaces, hallways, appliances, floors, surfaces, cabinets, and fixtures.
- Eliminate dust, debris, garbage, and any remaining items as necessary.
- Clean counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and commonly touched surfaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floors to high standards.
- Clean interior parts of appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers when required.
- Identify and report any areas that need additional cleaning, junk removal, repairs, maintenance, or other follow-up actions.
- Capture clear before-and-after photographs and videos of properties and completed cleaning jobs.
- Provide detailed updates including notes, photos, and videos after each visit.
- Maintain professional communication with landlords, tenants, applicants, and internal team members.
- Follow company policies, cleaning checklists, property access instructions, and appointment specifics carefully.
Additional Cleaning Tasks May Include
- Deep cleaning tasks specific to kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, floors, and various surfaces.
- Removing garbage and light debris to maintain listing readiness.
- Cleaning cabinets, drawers, window sills, and baseboards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning roles such as housekeeper, residential cleaner, cleaning contractor, or similar.
- Strong familiarity with residential cleaning standards.
- Access to reliable transportation for traveling between properties.
- Necessary cleaning supplies and equipment ready for each job.
- Comfort with working independently and entering residential rental properties unsupervised.
- Possession of a smartphone with a high-quality camera (iPhone 13 or equivalent) to document work.
- Ability to take clear photos and videos and write coherent notes for reporting purposes.
- Professionalism, punctuality, reliability, and great attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for interacting respectfully with landlords, tenants, applicants, and team members.
- Capability to follow detailed protocols, checklists, and property access instructions.
Preferred Experience
- Background in move-in, move-out, or turnover cleaning for rental properties.
- Experience preparing rental units specifically for photos, inspections, showings, or move-in readiness.
- The ability to identify damages, maintenance issues, pest problems, junk removal needs, and access difficulties.
- Experience working independently in related industries, including property management, leasing, home services, or cleaning companies.
