Role Overview
We are seeking a Claims Specialist for our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This pivotal role focuses on the meticulous management of insurance claims outside the motor insurance segment. The successful candidate will guarantee effective, precise claims handling, fostering client satisfaction by managing the process efficiently and advocating for fair claim settlements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain current knowledge on product features and market developments across all general insurance categories except motor insurance.
- Provide clients with expert guidance and continuous updates throughout the claims lifecycle to ensure transparency and understanding.
- Oversee the entire claims process from receipt, evaluation, investigation to resolution, aligning with company policies and industry standards.
- Support and coach the claims team, reviewing complex claims and ensuring accurate assessment and settlement.
- Represent clients in challenging and disputed claims, negotiating with insurers to secure rightful compensation as per policy conditions.
- Stay informed on industry innovations and claims management best practices to recommend process upgrades.
- Pursue operational improvements and automation opportunities to boost efficiency and customer experience.
- Maintain open communications with policyholders, brokers, and other partners, promptly addressing queries and updates.
- Lead ongoing enhancement initiatives involving communication and operational processes with stakeholders.
- Keep detailed records of all claims activities, including investigations, settlements, and correspondence.
- Generate reports analyzing claims trends and performance for management review.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience, preferably in insurance companies or broking firms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Proven expertise in handling extensive claims portfolios, including property, engineering, and casualty insurance.
- Strong technical knowledge of insurance products and claims management.
- Skilled in negotiation and client advocacy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build stakeholder relationships.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
