Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Civil Draughtsman responsible for creating detailed civil and structural engineering drawings. These include plans, elevations, sections, reinforcement details, Structural GAD, and fabrication drawings to support construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop construction drawings from engineering calculations, sketches, and design inputs.
- Produce general arrangement (GA) drawings, foundation layouts, steel structure plans, and concrete detailing.
- Create reinforcement detailing and bar bending schedules (BBS) as needed.
- Update and revise drawings based on engineer feedback, client comments, and project modifications.
- Collaborate closely with structural and civil engineers plus other project stakeholders.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision trails, and manage document control records effectively.
- Assist with quantity take-offs and material estimations derived from engineering drawings.
- Provide site teams with drawing clarifications and support by preparing as-built drawings.
- Conduct quality reviews to ensure precision, completeness, and consistency prior to issue.
- Organize and preserve project documentation and digital drawing files following company protocols.
Qualifying Credentials
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or equivalent drafting platforms are advantageous.
Experience & Technical Expertise
- Between 7 to 10 years of professional experience in civil and structural drafting roles.
- Experience with industrial or infrastructure projects is preferable.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of Revit Structure, Tekla Structures, or similar Building Information Modeling (BIM) software is preferred.
- Understanding of structural detailing standards and construction methods.
- Familiar with reinforced concrete and structural steel detailing processes.
- Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and design codes.
- Competent in Microsoft Office suite.
