Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Childrens Coach to join our rapidly expanding KidStrong Southeast PA team in West Chester, PA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about engaging with children and parents, making a significant impact on their growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead classes with 6 to 15 children aged between approximately 12 months and 11 years, following the structured KidStrong curriculum developed by headquarters.
• Maintain punctuality by ensuring classes begin and end on time and follow the set curriculum pace appropriately.
• Welcome students and their guardians individually at the start of each session.
• Create a fun, motivational, dynamic, and professional environment during coaching sessions.
• Demonstrate and supervise the proper execution of various exercises.
• Uphold center cleanliness, including tidying the lobby, bathrooms, blue floors, trash disposal, sweeping, mopping, equipment wiping, and sanitizing mats post-shift.
• Utilize the KidStrong Coach’s App to log attendance, awards, and other class data, maintaining accurate records for parents.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues via Slack, ensuring timely responses even when off-site.
• Complete required training through FranConnect provided by the HQ Training and Certification team, and achieve certified status.
• Work in physically demanding conditions, actively moving around classes and handling equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Provide hands-on assistance to children to ensure safety and correct technique, especially for those three years and younger, helping parents understand class flow.
• Attend monthly staff programming meetings for upcoming curriculum training and any other mandatory staff meetings as directed by the KidStrong Director.
• Manage and deliver special seasonal Coach KidStrong Academy classes during school breaks.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated passion for working with children is essential.
• Previous coaching experience with children aged 12 months to 11 years is preferred.
• Comfortable communicating with parents about the purposes and benefits of the KidStrong curriculum.
• Intermediate understanding of physiology, exercise methodologies, and body mechanics.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and communicate effectively.
• Self-motivated and capable of independently completing responsibilities.
• Enjoy engaging directly with an audience and being the center of attention during activities.
• Experience as a pediatric occupational or physical therapist is a plus but not required.

Work Schedule & Additional Information

• Classes usually occur on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and evenings up to 7:00 PM, with weekend sessions from 8:00 AM until noon.
• Flexible scheduling options based on studio requirements, including potential for increased hours via private party coaching.

Compensation

Hourly pay ranges between $15 and $24.
