Overview
We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial operations of our overseas entity based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role requires comprehensive management of financial accounting, analysis, and team leadership while ensuring compliance with local regulations and effective coordination with external bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee complete financial accounting and analysis for overseas operations, managing the finance team efficiently to promptly identify and resolve commercial challenges.
- Coordinate communication and processes with local tax authorities, banks, and auditors under the guidance of the Group Finance Department, supporting the General Manager with external stakeholder relations.
- Enhance and implement financial systems in collaboration with the Group Finance Department to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead, develop, and manage the local finance team to ensure high performance and capability building.
- Ensure strict adherence to local tax legislation and regulatory compliance, suggesting measures to mitigate operational and financial risks.
- Review all economic contracts (excluding salary agreements) to confirm compliance with tax laws and internal control policies while advising on legal risk.
- Prepare and monitor financial budgets, analyze variances, and provide insightful commentary on budget implementation.
- Apply tax management strategies to optimize liabilities using preferential tax policies, while regulating the timing of tax payments.
- Manage cash flow effectively, focusing on optimizing cash inflows and outflows for maximum utility.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong professional ethics including dedication, integrity, and a meticulous working approach.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English to use as the primary working language.
- Robust interpersonal skills with proven abilities in communication, coordination, organizational leadership, and financial expertise.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Financial Management, or related fields.
- Experience at mid-management level or above in financial roles.
Additional Information
This position demands candidates with solid financial expertise, team leadership capabilities, and the ability to operate independently in cross-cultural overseas environments. Preference will be given to those well-versed in the local tax regulations, banking, and auditing practices specific to the Middle East region.
