Cashier – Part-Time or Full-Time

About the Role

Country Grocer in Lake Cowichan, British Columbia, is seeking dedicated individuals for a part-time or full-time cashier position. The company is a family-owned grocery provider with over 40 years of experience on Vancouver Island, known for supporting local communities, farmers, and producers.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently handle customer grocery purchases with accuracy
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service
• Scan items and verify pricing
• Adhere strictly to cash handling procedures
• Memorize product codes and distinguish between similar products
• Issue receipts, refunds, and credits properly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area
• Perform additional tasks as required

Work Schedule

• Open availability required, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Approximately 24 hours per week

Compensation

The position pays between CA$18.25 and CA$22.00 per hour.

Working Conditions
