About the Role
We are seeking a CAD Associate to become an integral part of our vibrant team working with cutting-edge energy technology. Bloom Energy leads the innovation in energy generation and delivery, committed to growth, environmental impact, and continuous technological advancement. Join us at our Navi Mumbai location to contribute actively to this mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage 3D electrical CAD models including detailed routing of electrical wire harnesses using platforms such as SolidWorks Electrical or comparable software.
- Produce and revise comprehensive 2D electrical schematics, drawings, and manufacturing documentation with AutoCAD or similar tools.
- Design and refine electrical wiring harness layouts ensuring precision, manufacturability, and adherence to engineering standards.
- Work collaboratively with mechanical and systems engineering teams to integrate electrical components into 3D assemblies.
- Assist with generating Bills of Materials (BOM), releasing drawings, and handling engineering change requests and orders.
- Uphold design standards, maintain quality documentation, and adhere to company quality requirements.
- Possess a foundational understanding of electrical components such as ferrules, heat shrink tubing, connectors, and cables.
- Maintain and update the Electrical CAD library consistently.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Expertise in 3D Electrical CAD software like SolidWorks Electrical or its equivalents.
- Proficient in AutoCAD for 2D electrical drafting.
- Experience with designing, routing, and documenting wire harnesses.
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as Agile, Teamcenter, or Windchill.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles related to electrical systems.
Educational Qualifications
- Diploma or Foundation Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant related discipline.
- Formal training in SolidWorks Electrical Professional, covering schematics and 3D routing.
- Certification or completed coursework in AutoCAD Electrical or electrical drafting techniques.
