Business Intelligence Developer I - Google Cloud

Role Overview

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer at Google Cloud, you will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. This position involves designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive BI solutions that deliver actionable insights to leadership while supporting cross-functional teams and business growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with diverse teams to design, build, and test AI agents integrated with existing data workflows to automate generation and delivery of business intelligence efficiently.
• Develop robust data infrastructure, including crafting SQL scripts, building pipelines and data warehouses, modeling data, and creating accessible dashboards for end users.
• Convert complex datasets into insightful data models and marts while automating reports that clearly reflect vital business and process performance metrics.
• Manage projects from initial concept through final delivery, ensuring data solutions consistently supply reliable and relevant insights that drive business expansion.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least four years of experience in SQL query writing and data pipeline development.
• Background in business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering roles.
• Proficiency with BI visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI to create dashboards and reports.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing analytical support for sales operations, consulting, program management, or collaborative projects.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, R, JavaScript, or Go to facilitate data processing and automation.
• Experience using collaborative version control systems for code review and management.
• Knowledge of statistical modeling approaches.
• Strong communication skills to effectively explain complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Information

Candidates will have an option to specify preferred work location among Boulder, CO; Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; or Chicago, IL in the USA.

This position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of $116,000 to $167,000, complemented by a 15% bonus target, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits package. Salary determinations consider relevant skills, experience, and education.
