Business Finance Specialist - Technology & Product

Role Overview

Step into a pivotal finance role where you act as the financial co-pilot alongside leadership in Technology and Product domains. You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Finance, Strategy, Product, and Marketing to guide decisions that enhance partnerships with restaurant stakeholders and end-users. This position expects proactive involvement in financial decision-making, ensuring leadership is informed and empowered with comprehensive profit and loss insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Tech, Product, and R&D leaders on financial planning and strategy development.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis specific to technology operations.
• Build detailed business cases, return on investment models, and evaluate funding scenarios for new product and technology projects.
• Oversee proper capitalization of software development costs, maintaining readiness for audits.
• Contribute to financial modeling efforts for launching new business verticals and other strategic initiatives.
• Enhance reporting efficiency, analytics quality, and cost transparency via automation and business intelligence partnerships.

Candidate Profile

• Possess 5 to 8+ years of professional experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Finance, or Strategic Finance roles.
• Have prior exposure supporting technology, product development, or research and development departments.
• Understand principles related to software capitalization and corresponding accounting standards.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning systems and financial planning tools; experience with Business Intelligence platforms is a plus.
