About the Role
Our client is a leading company specializing in technology lifecycle management and secure B2B infrastructure services across Australasia. The company partners with major corporations and public sector entities to address critical modern challenges in data security risk and environmental sustainability. Maintaining top global standards in data security, quality, and environmental protocols, the company offers indispensable services relied upon year-round by organizations.
Due to expanding demand in the public sector, they're seeking an accomplished sales professional to drive growth in Wellington by covering central and local government and large enterprise sectors.
Responsibilities
- Own and accelerate territory expansion within the public sector by proactively identifying, targeting, and securing new valuable service contracts across government and large enterprise clients.
- Lead the end-to-end management of complex public sector tenders and bids, working collaboratively with internal service teams to deliver competitive winning submissions.
- Manage key client relationships for both new and existing customers, ensuring adherence to SLA commitments, accurate commercial pricing, and overseeing high-level financial reporting.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date customer relationship data, sales pipeline, and campaign records daily using Salesforce CRM.
Candidate Profile
- Essential experience selling B2B services or technology solutions directly into New Zealand government agencies, with strong knowledge of public sector procurement processes and a well-established Wellington network.
- Proven track record managing complex multi-tier B2B sales cycles, including navigating RFPs/tenders and negotiating master commercial agreements with senior executives.
- Highly self-driven and results-focused personality dedicated to rapidly growing the territory and advancing their career in tandem with business success.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication capabilities.
- Comfortable operating within stringent regulatory environments governed by strict data security, quality assurance, and health and safety standards.
- Preferred tertiary qualification in Commerce or Business or equivalent industry experience; candidates must be willing to pass a Criminal History Check and travel domestically as required.
