About the Role
This position focuses on city-level business growth and monetization initiatives by establishing enduring revenue partnerships with local offices and corporate clients. The primary responsibility is to sell corporate gym memberships to companies for their workforce, alongside managing other city monetization ventures including in-gym branding and advertising sales, local marketing partnerships, trainer certification revenue, and additional non-retail revenue sources.
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain a robust city-wide pipeline comprising local offices, corporate entities, SMEs, co-working spaces, institutions, and business parks with potential demand for employee gym memberships.
- Initiate pitches, negotiate terms, and successfully close long-term corporate membership agreements encompassing employee wellness tie-ups, discounted group plans, bulk memberships, and renewals.
- Establish consistent revenue streams from employers through coordinated employee activation, onboarding assistance, monthly performance reviews, usage tracking, and renewal management.
- Seek and implement local monetization opportunities such as in-gym branding, sampling campaigns, launch activations, sponsorships, partner kiosks, advertising placements, and event collaborations.
- Manage additional allocated revenue streams including trainer certification programs, partner-led training sessions, academy referrals, and other city monetization products.
- Collaborate closely with Centre Managers to ensure clear role demarcation and smooth fulfillment; Centre Managers handle walk-in pack sales and personal training sales, while this role is accountable for business development sourced corporate and monetization revenues.
- Maintain rigorous Salesforce usage by mapping accounts, documenting meeting notes, tracking proposal statuses, deal stages, forecasting revenue, monitoring collections, activations, and renewal schedules.
Qualifications
- 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in business development, corporate sales, partnerships, local advertising sales, institutional sales, or field sales roles.
- Strong preference for candidates with prior exposure to selling to HR, administration, facilities, procurement teams, founders, local business owners, agencies, or corporate decision-makers.
- Experience within fitness, health and wellness, gym operations, corporate wellness programs, media or advertising sales, OOH or local marketing, education/training, certification programs, hospitality, or SaaS sales is advantageous.
- Proven ability to meet revenue targets, proactively prospect, conduct cold outreach, hold negotiations, draft proposals, close deals, follow up on collections, and manage renewals.
- A deep understanding of the local market dynamics and preferably an existing network in the hiring city for corporate or local businesses.
- A graduate degree is preferred. Effective communication skills in Hindi and English are mandatory; knowledge of Gujarati is preferred for roles based in Ahmedabad.
