Position Overview
The Business Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting daily operations by fostering alignment across diverse teams, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring timely delivery of plans. This position enhances visibility through consistent reporting and analysis, addresses operational challenges, and aids in planning, scheduling, and communication efforts. By promoting teamwork and continuous process improvements, the coordinator helps maintain smooth operational flow and elevates delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in resolving operational issues daily by collaborating cross-functionally to uncover root causes and implement prompt solutions
- Coordinate the execution of operational plans by managing timelines, deliverables, and assigning resources
- Track progress relative to plans, identifying and escalating potential risks, delays, or impediments promptly
- Facilitate effective communication between cross-functional teams and leadership for transparency and alignment
- Support meeting activities, including preparing agendas, documenting discussions, and monitoring action items
- Oversee follow-ups on key deliverables to ensure accountability and completion
- Aid Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and coordinating operational projects and activities
- Maintain and report on critical performance indicators such as Delivery, Work in Progress (WIP), Ready for Service (RFS), and Cost, delivering routine updates to leadership
- Create dashboards, reports, and perform analysis to back decision-making and performance evaluations
- Coordinate quarter-end delivery activities by mobilizing cross-functional teams to swiftly identify and resolve issues, guaranteeing punctual coach delivery
- Champion the establishment and maintenance of standardized best practices across teams
- Travel to the Pembina, North Dakota facility as required (approximately 20% travel)
Qualifications
- Proficiency in data analysis and expertise in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience monitoring key performance metrics including Delivery, WIP, RFS, and Cost
- Knowledge of project planning and scheduling software such as MS Project or Excel is a plus
- Between 2 to 5 years of work experience in operations, project coordination, or business support roles
- Background in manufacturing or production environments is advantageous
- Strong organizational abilities with skill in managing multiple concurrent priorities
- Analytical and problem-solving aptitude with a focus on identifying root causes and driving solutions
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, dynamic operational setting
- Willingness and ability to travel to the United States up to 20% of the time
